(Chapter 4)

“Why are you sitting with me Gaz-Human?” Zim asked slightly amused by her new found desire to sit by him at lunch instead of her brother. Who at this moment seemed to take up the new hobby of trying to glare daggers at the back of Zim’s head. Yes . . . this was quite amusing.

“Because I feel like it.” She stated as she pulled off a particular hard move on her game slave.

“Hm.”

Zim had the feeling today was going to be a good day . . .

“GAZ! Why were you sitting with Zim today?” Dib asked as they walked home from Skool.
“Because I felt like it.”

“But, But . . . that’s fraternizing with the enemy! He’s dangerous Gaz! He’s trying to destroy the Earth!” Dib stated firmly

Gaz rolled her eyes “Please . . . he’s been here for the past eight years and I have yet to see him take over the Earth.”

“That’s just it!” Shouted Dib “It’s probably some long term plot! He’s probably trying to lull us in a false sense of security!! So then when we finally believe he isn’t going to take over the Earth . . . he’ll take it! He’s trying to catch us off guard! But I’m not falling for it.”

“You put too much thought into that.”

“HA! You know I’m right!” Dib stated happy to finally have his sister realize.

“Dib shut up. Your voice is stupid.”

Or maybe she’s not realizing anything . . .

“But Gaz you have to realize this MUST be his plan!” Shouted Dib waving his arms around in the air like an idiot. “I thought it was a little funny how he always seemed to fail . . . Maybe it was to make me think He’s useless! UGH! I almost fell for it!!”

His arm hit Gaz jolting her making her drop, her game slave. The screen went blank when it hit the ground. Dib looked at it horrified.

“Dib . . . ” She hissed through gritted teeth as she glared evilly at her brother. “I was at the last level. And now I have to. Start. All. Over.”

“S-Sorry Gaz . . . It was an accident.” He whimpered all too aware of his impending doom.

“Prepare to be doomed.” Hissed Gaz cracking her knuckles threateningly.

“No.” Whispered Dib as his sister approached him “NOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Purple sat sipping on a slurpie. “You know Red it’s been a long time since we’ve heard from Zim.”
“I know. I wonder if he finally realized we just sent him to Earth to get him out of our way.” Mused Red

They looked at each other then and busted out laughing. “Yeah right he’s too dim to figure it out!” Purple guffawed holding onto his sides.

“Excuse me my Tallest but there is an incoming transmission for you.” Interrupted a small Irken with purple eyes.

“Ah yes. Let it through maybe it’s Zim.” Snickered Red

“Yeah I’m in for a good laugh.”

The screen flickered on.

“You’re not Zim . . .” whispered Purple.

The girl smiled flashing fangs. “I’m Sorry to disappoint you.”

“What do you want?”

“I’m here to talk about . . . Earth.”

“What about it?” Red asked.

“My information tells me you have an Invader stationed there. Am I correct?”

“Invader?” Red asked “OH! You mean Zim? Pfft he’s no Invader.”

“Well then you won’t mind if I go ahead and take it?”

Red exchanged a look with Purple before replying “Why do you want it?”

Her pretty blue eyes narrowed then. She wasn’t pleased how this conversation is going. “I want to play.”

“ And if we say no?” Purple asked

“Then I’ll be forced to destroy you and your planet.” The Transmission ended leaving the two alone. The threat hanging thick in the air.

“Purple?”

“Yeah Red?”

“We have a problem.”
